Mobile Response & Perform Care 

Mobile Response and Perform Care are home-based stabilization services that are
available as a resource 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There is no charge for calling
Mobile Response/Perform Care. Perform Care assists in linking individuals with services
related to emotional and behavioral health concerns. 877.652.7624.

Emergency Psychiatric Screening Services 

Monmouth Medical Center is a state-designed emergency screening service for
Monmouth County. Services can be accessed through the Emergency Department or by
calling our crisis hotline. 732.923.6999.

*Depending on availability/need, clinicians could come out to the home, school, or
provide a virtual screening.

Family Crisis Intervention Unit 

Family Crisis Intervention Unit provides crisis intervention for families in Monmouth
County on a 24 hour basis. The crisis situations involve serious conflict between the
parent/guardian and the juvenile, serious threat, incorrigibility, runaway behavior, and

Integrated Case Management Services 

Integrated Case Management Services provide linkages to help secure necessary services and
resources while maintaining recovery and a high quality of life. Individuals can refer themselves for ICMS services or be referred be another treatment provider.

Grief Resources

Stephy's Place is a nonprofit grief support group based in Red Bank, New Jersey. 732.797.9739.

Common Ground is a grief center located in Manasquan, New Jersey, offering open-ended support groups to children, teens, and parents on their grief journey, completely free. 732.606.7477.

LGBTQ+ Resources

The Trevor Project is "the leading suicide prevention and crisis intervention nonprofit organization for LGBTQ young people" that provides 24/7 year-round information and support for individuals who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community. They have options for online chat/phone call/text message support with connections to crisis counselors, as well as educational resources relating to exploration of sexual orientation and gender identity.

PFLAG is "the nation's largest organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for LGBTQ+ people and those who love them". They have local NJ chapters and provide support through in-person/virtual support groups for individuals who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community and those individuals' parents/families/guardians/caregivers/etc. They also have search options for additional resources (educational or otherwise) on their website.

Division of Developmental Disability (DDD)

The Division of Developmental Disability (DDD) is a resource for our students who are deemed Developmentally Disabled before the age of 22. They can apply before the age of 21 but services do not start until then. I am attaching forms below that state who is eligible and an overview.  They also have Zoom meetings once a week on the website to help parents apply for services. 800.832.9173.

Counseling and Treatment

Princeton House Behavioral Health provides inpatient, partial hospital, and intensive outpatient services in central and Southern New Jersey for those struggling with mental health, substance abuse, or co-occurring disorders. 888.437.1610

Youth Advocate Programs (YAP) is a national nonprofit dedicated to promoting and providing evidence-based services in homes and communities. YAP offers a more effective and equitable alternative to youth incarceration, as well as placements in group child welfare, behavioral health, and intellectual disabilities facilities. Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P)

The Child Abuse Hotline (State Central Registry) receives reports of child abuse and
neglect 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. Reports requiring a field response are forwarded
to the CP&P Local Office who investigates. 1.877.543.7864.

Homelessness 

Please visit your county Social Service agency or call 2-1-1 for additional
resources/financial supports.

Behavioral Health Urgent Care 

Hackensack Meridian Urgent Care with Behavioral Health treats children 15 and
older for behavioral issues including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, stress, PTSD.
This is a not a replacement for your primary therapist/psychiatrist, but can serve as a
temporary support in the event that you cannot get a timely appointment.
